This is affirmation is key in growing and evolving in our lives. We must believe that we can change our situation or circumstances; that it is within our own power. Even a small step changes something, and like throwing a pebble in the water, there is a ripple effect.
When people don't believe they have the power to make changes they become hopeless, and hope is critical to the ability to create change in your life. As someone recently said to me, it is like being that hamster on a wheel: they keep going in circles but never really get anywhere. All it takes is jumping off the wheel. That is a small step, yet changes everything. You have evidence of your own power to stop the cycle you are in.
Are you feeling hopeless or helpless about a situation in your life? Take a look at a small step you can make right now - then do it and see what happens!

I have plenty of time
Yesterday morning I woke up early, feeling anxious about all the things I needed to do, not just that day, but in general. I frequently feel as if there is a never ending to-do list in my head, and I will never be enough until it is completed.
Imagine my joy and surprise to sit down at my computer and find the above affirmation for the day: "I have plenty of time." The timing of the gift of this affirmation was perfect. It reminded me of a couple of beliefs of mine. First, the universe, or spirit, is always present with me. I got just the message I needed in the moment. Secondly, the content of the affirmation reminded me that life is not a race to see who can complete the most tasks in a given time period (i.e. their life). It is about being in the moment, learning and growing. And this is one of the lessons I evidently need to learn again and again!
Finding this affirmation yesterday morning helped me take a deep breath and know deep inside that it will be okay - I will be okay - even if none of the things on that list gets done.
